IN THE NIGHT

I came talking to you in the night

I came asking you if all was right

I came stalking you

I came walking the night

Through the night

In the darkness

I stepped over fear

And walked in the River of Tears

Some mine some not

I climbed the Mountain of Love

Some mine some not

And rode the Rainbow of Faith

Who knows what

I fired the smoke of thought

And what a fire it was

I drank an ocean

And sailed it back again

A hundred times around the Horn

I dreamed a dream

Across an ocean

A dream too true not to be real

And crash on the rocks of reality

To be a fish

To swim and fight the tides

In the night

In the loneliness of the night

With its stars so bright

Twinkling in the night

Like the sound of the bell

As an angel gets his wings

In the night

Knowing not what path is right

I sailed my ship

To the only star in the sky

I waited eagerly for its rising

To light my path to where

Some distant shore

Where tomorrow lives

But what of now

I dreamed a dream

I came talking

I came walking

I charged through the night

Visibility zero

Hopes high

Senses strained to beyond and back

Now the sky clears

I am on an endless sea

I yearn to make progress

To reach that unknown shore

The waves go rolling by

I tumble on

I dreamed a dream

Courage the night whispers

Step gently say the rocks

All is well say the waves

Ahead is the shore

Its beaches of white sand

Its beauty laid out

For all to see

I dreamed a dream

A fantasy of hope

Do we in wanting to believe

Have to be shown

Or is it as Kiam has said

"A Blind Understanding"

As walking in the night

With no guiding star

But stepping with emotion

Strength of emotion upon emotion

Strength of love

I dreamed a dream

And I still dream

Love
